New Delhi (ABC Live) The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has approved the National Coaching Camps for preparation of London Olympics, 2012, for both senior men’s and senior women’s boxing teams to be conducted at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala.
The men’s team will consist of 40 Men, 9 Coaches including 1 Foreign Coach and 4 Support Staff while the women’s team will consist of 28 Women, 4 Coaches and 2 Support Staff. The camps will continue till 19th February, 2012.
The boxers will be provided the best facilities available in terms of equipments, boarding and lodging. The Boxing facilities at NSNIS, Patiala have recently been upgraded to the world-class level during Commonwealth Games, 2010, and all the boxers are being trained with the aid of these facilities.
