New Delhi (ABC Live): India has conceded to the demand for a separate Telangana state raised by Telagana Rashtra Samiti, when Union Home Minister P Chidambaram announced to create the new state.

 

New Delhi (ABC Live): India has conceded to the demand for a separate Telangana state raised by Telagana Rashtra Samiti, when Union Home Minister  P Chidambaram announced to create the new state.

The decision on Telangana was taken during a late night meeting held between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah after two rounds of consultations in the Congress Core Committee with Sonia Gandhi and senior cabinet colleagues.

With this move,TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao ended his 11-day fast undertaken to press for Telangana state.
